The Human
War: Feature film that follows a day in the life of an
American teen in Youngstown, Ohio who reacts to the declaration of
war in Iraq on March 19, 2003 and what it will mean for him, his
community, and the world.
Upcoming Films
SHOPLIFTING FROM AMERICAN APPAREL is a feature film about a
young writer who shoplifts and sells stolen items on eBay to
survive in New York City and keep writing. Exploring Internet
culture, consumerism, reality, fame, relationships, and cinema,
SHOPLIFTING... raises questions about how America's youth play the
video game of life. The film is based on the novella by Tao Lin. It
is currently in pre-production.

Brad Warner: Hardcore Zen, Godzilla, and Karma Dipped in
Chocolate (working title) is a documentary about a
controversial Zen master who has sought to strip away the sheen off
many taboo topics in Zen Buddhism and exhibit a healthy dose of
reality to his readers. This documentary is currently in
production.

Brad Warner is
a Zen monk, writer, bass player and film-maker. He has written
several books, including Hardcore Zen, Sit Down And Shut Up, Zen
Wrapped in Karma Dipped in Chocolate, and his latest, Sex, Sin, and
Zen. He received Dharma Transmission from Gudo Nishijima Roshi, who
received his transmission from Rempo Niwa Roshi who, at the time
was the head of the Soto Sect in Japan. He writes about Zen and
other topics on his blog, Hardcore Zen, and as a writer for Suicide
Girls.

1. Bear
Video (Mockumentary): Robert Kim stars as a bear who
wrecks havoc on society due to pollution. Features a poem by Tao
Lin and music by The Slipshod Swingers.
2. Pops
U (Music Video): An animated Robert Kim explores space and
feeds back-up singers popcorn before dancing with the planet Mars
in this animated music video for The Slipshod Swinger's "Pops U"
song from the Transistor Radio album.
3. American
Painting (Documentary): Pirooz Kalayeh depicts his culture
shock while living in Seoul, Korea by documenting his eating habits
and the evolution of his latest painting. The film is shot on an
$80 camera and combines hand-drawn animation with actual footage of
the artist painting.
